Fort Bend Christian Academy hosted its annual gala and auction in February. The theme of this year’s gala was a country club “Eagle ParTee” and guests were encouraged to wear traditional or festive golf attire. The event was held at Sweetwater Country Club, and more than 200 hundred people were in attendance. With the generous donations of many guests and families, the event raised $142,000. Nicole Bowles, Director of Advancement, said the event was successful financially, but it also helped build community. “Many guests said this was by far their favorite gala they have attended,” Bowles said. “The goal of the evening was clear. We were all there to benefit the students, and it’s exciting to see our families give so generously and
support the mission of Fort Bend Christian Academy.
Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, miniature golf, dinner and dancing. The gala chairs included: Jenn LaRocca, Vicki Vaughn and Jessica Williams. Committee members included: Stephanie Dobbs, Katie Harris, Leah Henley, Monica Holden, Kelly Ivey, Vickie Kelley, Catherine Kubala, Haley Millis, Tiffany Newton, Tracy Pipes, Tiffany Tyler and Janet Varkey. “We could not have had a successful gala without the help of our incredible parent volunteers and FBCA staff,” Vicki Vaughn said. “These gifted and talented individuals give countless hours planning and preparing for this event which benefits our school. It is amazing journey to watch the transformation from an idea/theme to the fabulous event we experienced Saturday night. Thank you for all of your dedication and commitment to our children and our school. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be a part of this marvelous team.”
