Rendezvous Event Center & Backyard in Rosenberg, Texas Treats Their Customers as They Want to be Treated

In historic downtown Rosenberg, Cheryl and Robert Duran have created not just one business, but two. At the heart of both businesses is the philosophy of treating others like they would want to be treated, and this mindset has paid off in happy customers.

Their most recent venture is Rendezvous Event Center & Backyard. With the wisdom Robert has gained since opening Duran’s Roofing and Remodeling nearly 40 years ago, and the business know-how and work ethic Cheryl brings after years as a hair stylist, the Durans are providing a space for those who want to gather and celebrate

“Historic downtown Rosenberg has my heart,” says Cheryl. “When we purchased this property in Heritage Station, we had the opportunity to use our imagination and convert a tire shop into our main roofing location. Once we renovated that part of the building, we decided to turn the back portion into an event venue, and it’s been an adventure ever since!”

The venue features10,000 sq ft of outdoor space and 1,400 sq ft indoors. The Durans work with two event coordinators and can accommodate up to 100 people in the venue. Inspired by the art deco movement of the 20s, the venue is a flexible space allowing guests to bring in their own food and entertainment or opt into an all-inclusive package.

Four years after opening and after weathering the pandemic, the venue regularly hosts locals and visitors for weddings, special events and parties, business meetings and conferences.

“It’s a special place to celebrate and create memories,” says Cheryl.” I feel we’ve been very blessed to use the skills God gave us to imagine this space and to serve other people. At Rendezvous our clients are our priority, and we want their special day to be unforgettable.”

Cheryl says hers and Robert’s Christian faith plays a big part in how they view clients.

“We always strive to treat others like we ourselves would want to be treated, not only in our business practices, but also in our personal lives. Our business is to create lasting relationships with our customers, while our earthly mission is to spread the goodness of God’s love to those that we interact with on a daily basis. We are focused on trying to be the best stewards for what we have been entrusted with, and we are honored to have the opportunity to provide a beautiful event venue for our community,” says Cheryl.
