A Helping of Support and High Hopes

A Helping of Support and High Hopes

Thanksgiving is a time for family, food, and giving thanks. This year three lucky supporters from local nonprofit Hope For Three Autism Advocates’ recent annual charity golf tournament received a helping of support from the tournament presenting sponsor Timewise.

Each year supporters purchase a $20 ticket or more for a gas card chance drawing. This year Kim Overgaard of Benbrook, Texas, Lucas Bradley, and Dany Truong, both of Richmond, Texas, won big, collectively earning over $2,600 in gas cards.

“Since 2011, I’ve served as a volunteer, supporter, and Board member. Watching Hope For Three blossom, and morph into the leading autism organization in Fort Bend County, has given me high hopes that we can be the difference in a child’s life. Continued outreach, awareness, and education are critical and greatly needed. If our community continues to rally and provide long-time support like Timewise, we can potentially change a child’s future,” shared Overgaard. “I am grateful for the big win, but our kids are truly the real winners when we can lend support to help their families,” continued Overgaard.

Kevin Doody, a Timewise consultant, gifted Mrs. Overgaard, and she generously donated back a large portion of her winnings to distribute and help local families living with autism during this giving season.

Timewise Food Stores is the retail division of Landmark Industries and has supported Hope For Three’s charity golf tournament for six years, helping the nonprofit raise nearly $400,000 to benefit the families and children they serve. Proceeds from the organization’s events provide children on the spectrum with access to life-changing treatments and therapies they might otherwise go without.

During this giving season and beyond, donations are needed and welcomed.
