Donna Danna, wife of Harris Country Sheriff Candidate, Joe Danna, Passes Away at the Age of 66

Earlier today, I received word that a friend of mine, Joe Danna, wife Donna Jean Danna, died last night from a massive heart attack. She was 66.

Many of you know that Joe Danna is running for Harris County Sheriff, and is also a member of the Katy Christian Chamber of Commerce.

I have gotten to know Joe through his campaign and the chamber, and he spoke often for the love of his life, Donna. Joe and Donna married almost 50 years ago in 1972, and raised three daughters together, Monica, Jill, and Kailey.

Joe, Donna, and their three daughters have been active at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church in Houston for many years.

Although I did not know Donna personally, nor did I ever have the pleasure of speaking with her, I know that great people are always married to great people, and Joe is one of the most genuine men around that I have ever met running for political office.

“Donna shared her warm heart with family, friends and total strangers. She was the most wonderful woman there was. She worked with children through education most of her life, and even after she was retired, volunteered countless hours at her daughter’s schools,” Joe said.

“My daughter’s and I will now try to pick up the pieces and to move forward. We thank God for the life that we had with her. She was the love of my life and this grief and heartbreak will affect us for some time. She was my biggest supporter, she will be sorely missed,” he added.

Katy Christian Magazine would ask for you to please pray for the Danna household during this most difficult time. Losing a loved one is always the hardest part of life. It adds comfort knowing, that as a Christian, we will be reunited with all of those that have moved on before us. What a joyful day that will be.
